Michael Lapina
Tenor Michael Lapiña, who began his career in 1988, has toured extensively across Australia and Asia, performing in musicals and acclaimed opera roles since 2008.
His versatile performances include Nemorino in Donizetti's L'Elisir d'Amore and Cavaradossi in Puccini's Tosca, as well as roles in Verdi's Requiem and Puccini's Messa di Gloria.
Beyond his singing career, Michael directs fundraising concerts for Rotary International and the Archdiocese of Melbourne, tutors music at Haileybury College, and currently serves as Rotary Governor for District 9800.
Soloist
Clarence Marshall
Clarence Marshall is a singer, songwriter, dancer, choreographer, performer and music producer who has been working in the theatre and music industry for the past 30 years.
He works as an educator and trainer in the areas of Music, Drama and Dance and has been teaching modern vocal for the past 30 years.
Clarence’s dedication to the arts has seen him performing in, writing and directing a numerous amount of professional theatre productions and recording and performing in bands and as a solo artist.
In 2016, Clarence performed in the Australian Premier of Lin Manual Miranda’s, “In The Heights”. He played the lead role of Kevin Rosario. In the same year, Clarence’s song, “My Love Goes On” was a finalist in the Best of Pop Category of the Australian Independent Music Industry Awards.
Clarence has released music as an independent artist and has two solo albums available on i-tunes, Spotify and other many digital music platforms.
This year, Clarence celebrated 30 years in the Entertainment Industry.
Western Regional Concert Band
The Band
Founded in 1977, Western Region Concert Band is an ensemble consisting of brass, woodwind and percussion instruments.
The band has performed with well known artists including James Morrison, Christine Anu, Leo Sayer, Silvie Paladino, Denis Walter, Gina Jeffreys, Colleen Hewett, Normie Rowe, Glenn Shorrock and Mark Vincent. Their repertoire is wide and varied from pop, show tunes, classical, jazz and concert band music. Something for everyone!
